ALilWhimsy.com was born out of my desire to have a successful online business that "I" created by myself. Without knowing a thing about website functionality or design, I started my quest to become an entrepreneur. Lets back up a little...I have a long career in retail management so I love buying and selling clothing for kids. That passion led me from working in the stores to selling on ebay. I did that for about four years and enjoyed it but man, it was time consuming for my busy schedule. I needed to find something I could do while staying home with my 3 kids..ages 7, 4 and 2. So I came up with a concept called "Whimsy Wipes" and started to market them on ebay. I sold some there but thought, 'Why not try and get them in my local boutiques'. I am very experienced with customer service so selling them to the owners was pretty easy for me. I now have them in 6 local stores and they are selling good. Then I thought, well if people in my area like them why not try and market them over the internet. So I contacted several companies online and had several orders. Then I realized that I had no way to show all of my designs to possible vendors and decided it was time to get a website going. SCARY!!! One of my vendors told me about a fabulous group of ladies called the Mom Pack and said that I could get answers to all of my questions there. They were truly angels sent from heaven and two months later, I have a pretty website where I sell custom and unique items for babies, toddlers and mommies.
